  • Bio

.. Formed in early 2006, the two sets of brothers from the North-East of England quickly gained a reputation as one of the most unmissable bands of the area. Gigging and writing constantly towards the end of the year they gathered a substantial fanbase locally and nationally, and played with such bands as The Fratellis, The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers to name a few... ....In early 2007 Radio 1 D.J. Steve Lamacq played "She Don't Care No More" on his "In New Music We Trust" show, and in March 2007 the band embarked on a successful European Tour. They continued gigging throughout 2007, with many of the U.K's biggests acts, and having attracted many large crowds to local and national shows decided to take some time out to write fresh material... ....In late 2007 the band signed to Japanese label Fabtone Records releasing their album "A Way Out From The Boredom." As 2008 loomed the brothers decided to disband and stop writing music as The Lurios and concentrate on other musical ventures. ....The band would like to thank every single person who took the time out to listen, live and love the music they played and in particular anyone who came along to any live show especially their set at Middlesbrough Music Live 2007 - anyone who was there knows it was unforgettable. Thanks a million xx. .. ..

We're soooooooo fucking sad that you guys aren't together anymore:(:( We still can't believe it! You were one of the best bands around!! We still love your music so much and always will! Your album is still totally AWESOME!!! And you guys still rule! It's such a pity that we never got to see you live here in Germany!
We wish you all the very best for the future?
